Pollen Collective is delighted to present Circle II, a multidisciplinary exhibition by 19 artists. Following the highly successful first Circle project, ‘one of the top five must-see exhibitions during Frieze week’ (J. Shurvell, Forbes Magazine, 2021), the collective has re-ignited their creative conversation.

Circle II is a related chain of unique artworks initiated by an AI image. Working spontaneously (in succession) over two-week periods, each artist responded to the previous artist’s work, without context or explanation. The subtle and intuitive connections between the artistic responses offer a fascinating insight into how the human imagination ranges in unexpected ways.

The body of work moves in an arc – away from an arresting yet curiously emotionless image, towards more subjective and poignant evocations. The viewer is taken on a revelatory journey through mediums that include painting, textile, animation, sculpture, projection and photography, as the artists reveal new objects and narratives. The Circle is closed with a collaborative piece re-envisioning the initial AI work.

Exhibition dates: 12-22 September 2024 (open daily 12-6pm) The gallery will be closed for a private event on September 14th.

Kindred Studios, 14 Market Lane, Shepherds Bush W128EZ London

Private View: Thursday 12 September (6-8pm)

Artist talk: Saturday 21 September (3pm) moderated by Gallerist Emma Hill (Eagle Gallery)

The Pollen Collective is an association of London-based professional artists who came together during the first Covid lockdown to support each other through conversations and creative projects. Founded by artist Kate Lowe in March 2020, the group includes mid-career represented artists working across a variety of media. The Pollen Collective is a not-for-profit organisation.

Images of the artwork, artists’ biographies and other content is available on the Pollen Collective Instagram and Website. Included with this press package is a presentation of the Circle II with images and text by the artists. Printable Jpgs of the works can be downloaded Here.
